“When we were looking for a new machine for our packaging, we were looking for a compact solution. Due to the fact that we have been in contact with Peer Boysen, Managing Director of B&T Tec GmbH for several years, the request for a new Rhyguan machine was obvious," says Ralf Güttler, Production Manager SC Labels GmbH, Metjendorf/D, a company of the Optimum Group.

The robust and compact mechanical engineering of the Rhyguan systems with its diverse product portfolio, in combination with B&T Tec as a reliable partner for advice and service, ultimately led to the decision in favor of a Smart 450 machine with BST TubeScan camera system, according to Marc Oeltjenbruns, Managing Director of SC System Labels GmbH. In addition to the standard functions, the machine is additionally equipped with a roll lifter, dual rewind with LayOn-Roller, and automatic knife positioning. At the beginning of this year, the management and production management of two member companies of the Optimum Group visited the Rhyguan European Demo Center in Eindhoven (NL) to be convinced of the Rhyguan mechanical engineering. The appropriate tests were carried out on the Rhyguan SMART450 (link to SMART450 page) machines in the Rhyguan Demo center and a final machine configuration for the new inspection systems to be procured was discussed. At the beginning of October 2022, the first Smart 450s were installed and put into production in Metjendorf. The delivery time for the machine, from order to installation, was just 6 months. According to Peer Boysen, the systems are prepared at B&T Tec before delivery to the end customers in the German market.
